Anand College of Nursing for Women is under the Management of Anand Model Educational & Charitable Society (Registered). It is the oldest one of its own kind in imparting the liberal education, intellectual moral and physical on sound national and cosmopolitan line with a view to broaden/open the minds of the young students and to promote educational research training and experimentation for the needs of the country in Para Medical/Medical Science especially in Nursing.

In view of the above, Managment has started regular General Nursing & Midwifery Nursing (3 years), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc.Nursing, 4 years), Auxillary Nursing & Midwifery (2 yrs) courses that are Recognised by Punjab Government, Punjab Nurses

Registration Council, Chandigarh, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi. The school of Nursing was started in 1987 with an idea to train Auxiliary Nurse Midwives. In 1992 the school was upgraded to 3yrs General Nursing & Midwifery 3 years course.

Anand College of Nursing is one of the most modern and well equipped Nursing College in Punjab. Anand College of Nursing occupies own prime land with Red Building on sweeping lawns at Jethuwal, Batala Road, Amritsar. Large playgrounds for Badminton, Vollyball, Football with green surroundings are part of the College campus. The Institute has a highly qualified and experienced faculty. The college has well-equiped Laboratories for Fundamentals of Nursing, Nutrition Lab, Community Health Nursing, OBG and Paediatric Lab, Computer Lab, Anatomy and Physiology Lab with latest equipments.

There is a well-equpiped separate Library for Nursing students with all the modern facilities. The Library has more than 2700 and 8 Nursing Journals & International Journals. The College has well ventilated classrooms with modern facilities.

To enhance the presentation of academic exericse like lectures seminars etc. The institute has a good Audio-Visual set up with T.V, DVD, CD player, Overhead projectors, Slide projectors, Multi-Media Projector with white screen, Sound System, Computers, Charts and Models for the use of the faculty and students. The college possesses good and comfortable accomodation for girls with all the facilities including round-the-clock security, entertainment, boarding and mess. Hostel rooms have attached bathroo, safe drinking water is available for students.
